"The Futuristic Sounds Of Sun Ra"
In support of Black History Month, Professor Garrison Fewell gives a presentation on the music, poetry and philosophy of Sun Ra. Included will be examples of Sun Ra's music, both recordings and written works, his early background and musical experience, his legitimate connection to jazz history and the relevance of Sun Ra's philosophy to encouraging a Culture of Peace in today's world.
